Living Well, Loving Simply

My story, and how it led me here

I’m Kathy Morrison, and if there’s one thing life has taught me, it’s that wellness isn’t something we chase. It’s something we live. It’s not about ticking boxes or getting everything right. It’s about choosing what matters most, every single day.

For over 30 years, I was the full-time carer for my profoundly disabled daughter. I gave everything I had. Physically, emotionally and spiritually, I poured my heart into supporting her. I did it with love and with no regrets. But it was a role that consumed me. Somewhere along the way, I disappeared. My identity became wrapped up in being her mum, her carer, the one who held it all together. I lost sight of the woman I used to be.

There were moments of joy, yes, but also moments of deep exhaustion, heartbreak and quiet sadness I didn’t often speak about. I pushed through. I kept going. Until I couldn’t. I found myself burnt out, anxious and asking the question I hear so often from other women now… is this it?

That moment became the turning point. I didn’t have a plan. I just knew I had to find a way back to myself. I started small. I learned how to rest. I drank more water. I read books about natural health and started tuning in to my body in a new way. I let go of perfection and started choosing what felt good. Little by little, the fog began to lift.

Through that slow return to myself, something simple but powerful began to take shape. I called it The KISSED Method, which stands for Keep It Super Simple Every Day. It reflects how I live now. No overhauls. No extremes. Just small daily steps that support my health, my mindset and my lifestyle in a way that feels gentle, real and sustainable.

Today, I work with women over 40 who are ready to come home to themselves. Women who have given so much to others and are now asking, what about me? Whether it’s through one-on-one coaching, wellness retreats in beautiful places or the pages of my book, my work is about creating space for reconnection. Not just with your body, but with your energy, your joy and your sense of self.

I don’t teach from a place of theory. I teach from lived experience. From the hard days and the healing. From the moments I wanted to give up, and the ones that reminded me who I am.

At my core, I believe in freedom, in kindness and in starting where you are. I believe in real conversations, in laughing when things feel too heavy and in celebrating even the smallest wins. I believe wellness should feel like coming home, not like another thing on your to-do list.

And I believe it’s never too late to feel good again.
